【摘要】:Thetestmethodmaybeusedtoevaluateandcompareacetabularprosthesestoassesstherelativedegreeofconstraintfortheprosthesisandthedamagetoleranceundercontrolledlaboratoryconditions.Itisrecognizedthatthereareseveralclinicalfailuremodesforacetabularprosthesesandthatthistestmethodmayormaynotbecapableofreproducingthem.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedureformeasuringtherangeofmotion,impingement,anddislocationofafemoralheadassemblyandacetabularprosthesis.1.2Thistestmethodcoverstheprocedureforstaticandcyclicfatiguetests.1.3Thistestmethodmaybeusedtoevaluatesinglepieceacetabularprostheses,modularprostheses,andconstrainedprosthesesmanufacturedfrompolymeric,metallic,orceramicmaterials.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsareregardedasthestandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
